On December 3, 2025, the KEMPELEN Academy of Sciences Foundation held its second annual scientific meeting, organized and hosted by the University of Dunaújváros (DUE).
The primary goal of the non-profit foundation is to promote professional cooperation between scientists of Hungarian birth or origin living in different countries, as well as with domestic researchers. At the beginning of the scientific meeting, the KEMPELEN Academy of Sciences Foundation and DUE signed a cooperation agreement in a ceremonial setting.
At the event, Rector Dr. István András welcomed the attendees and emphasized that he was delighted to welcome them not only as guests, but also as colleagues. He highlighted that it was an honor for the institution to be chosen as the venue for the meeting for the second time and confirmed that they would be happy to expand the circle of participants to include talented students next year. He then briefly presented the university’s positive results, including the increase in student numbers and the high level of activity of foreign students in community life. He was pleased to inform the participants that the university’s infrastructure is also constantly developing. At the end of his welcome speech, the rector said that the cooperation agreement signed today also stipulates that the institution will continue to host the annual scientific meeting in the coming years.
Dr. Dániel Lőwy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the KEMPELEN Academy of Sciences Foundation, said that two years ago, DUE was extremely welcoming and provided excellent conditions for the meeting at that time. He announced that a cooperation agreement had been signed today, under which, in addition to DUE hosting the annual meeting every year in the future, other professional events involving internationally recognized scientists would also be welcomed at the university. The cooperation also extends to joint research, projects, and the submission of joint applications for research funding.
