First World Congress of Hungarian Inventors – organized by VALOR HUNGARIAE Zrt.

VALOR HUNGARIAE Zrt. embraces, supports, and manages Hungarian innovations and ideas born anywhere in the world, from the moment of their creation to their economic utilization and market validation. In its work, VALOR draws on enormous capital: it brings together the knowledge of Hungarian scientists and researchers and puts it to work in the interest of a common goal. The company’s mission is to connect the future and discovery, as well as to assess the reach of the Hungarian spirit.

Nineteen outstanding Hungarian inventors, scientists, research fellows, and university professors accepted VALOR’s invitation to showcase the company’s unique international scientific background, share their thoughts and visions for the future, and lay the foundations for cooperation. The questions, research areas, and scientific approaches raised by outstanding Hungarian minds in Europe and overseas clearly demonstrate that seeking and finding each other is one of the main objectives of the scientific world. A common mother tongue and Hungary’s outreach to successful scientists abroad, with all its professional and emotional implications, play a distinguished role in this endeavor.

In his welcoming speech, Géza Szőcs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VALOR, emphasized that “Like uranium, intelligence, when enriched, begins to behave in a special way. […] What we are talking about, the power of combined intelligence, is more amazing than nuclear fusion. The human mind is more expansive than a chain reaction and more limitless than the universe.”

CEO Dr. Dalma Lilla Dominek is confident that “together, we can strengthen our goal for the future, which is none other than to embrace the inventions of Hungarian inventors and sell them on international markets.”

Levente Szepsi-Szűcs, VALOR’s technical and operations director, presented the “Window to Hungary” innovation network initiative, the already opened and planned “Hungarian Window” innovation offices. Dr. Dániel Lőwy, Director of Innovation and Science, spoke about VALOR’s innovation evaluation process, in which the Scientific Council plays a significant role. The guests of the world conference gave 20-minute presentations on their main areas of research and then answered questions. The high level of interest was evident in the lively discussions that developed on each topic; participants from the US, Canada, Western Europe, and various cities in Hungary found common ground and developed mutually inspiring joint plans.

The excellent organization, the varied venues, and the opportunity for informal discussion all contributed to the success of the event.
