Hungarian scientists working in Hungary and abroad discussed the promotion of Hungarian scientific ideas, inventions, and technical developments between March 27 and 29 at the Károlyi Castle in Fehérvárcsurgó, the conference organizers told MTI on Friday.
The scientific conference, organized by Valor Hungariae Zrt., was attended by about twenty participants, including electrical engineers, physicists, neurologists, evolutionary psychologists, biotechnologists, and cultural anthropologists, most of whom came from the US and Germany.
The conference discussed the conditions and assistance needed by Hungarian scientific life to optimize its potential and reserves, putting scientific achievements at the service of the nation and humanity.
“There are a large number of outstanding Hungarian minds working outside the country’s borders. We are trying to connect them into a single network, both with each other and with their homeland. This cooperation will certainly bring significant scientific benefits,” said Géza Szőts, president of Valor Hungariae Zrt., adding that joint projects, plans, and research had already been launched during the conference.
Miklós Kásler, Director General of the National Institute of Oncology, said that “as far as our field is concerned, we have already agreed with an excellent research group in Munich to develop a screening method that is suitable for screening tumor localizations that were not possible before.”
